Why not just use Calendly and Stripe?
You can, and plenty of educators start there. But a scheduling tool solves a scheduling problem; we solve a teaching-business problem that includes scheduling. Calendly doesn't know what a student is, or a household, or a lesson package that should debit only when the lesson happens. CourseCove keeps booking, payments, packages, and student records in one place, so you're not reconciling a calendar against a spreadsheet against a payout report.
How does the payment fee work?
Scheduling is $0 to start: Solo is free forever, and Studio adds seats at $9 each per month once you bring on a team. Selling is its own choice of two modes you can switch between anytime. Pay as you go is $0 a month with a flat 5% on what you collect, capped at $39 a month. Pro is $19 a month with 0% on sales. The app tells you when the other mode is cheaper, and the fee is charged automatically, with no separate bill to track. Card processing runs through your own Stripe account, where standard Stripe processing fees are about 2.9% plus 30 cents a transaction, separate from CourseCove.
Do I have to move off my current tools?
No, and you never get locked in. Your data is yours: you always have access to your data, and you can import and export it as much as you like, whenever you like. Our vision is CourseCove as the hub for your education business, so bring your own tools and integrations and keep using HubSpot or whatever you love alongside us, or run everything right here. It's your call, always.
